Session: Unpicking the sector's biggest strategic challenges

What are the biggest strategic challenges facing fundraising leaders and together can we begin to unpick the solutions?

Cii’s Irish Fundraising Director’s Network has hosted a series of meaty sessions since its relaunch last year.  Across a myriad of topics, conversations consistently lead back to 4 key themes:

  • Fundamental Trust - overcoming internal silos

  • Income Fuels Mission - holistic organisational strategy

  • People Matter - the future of work

  • Culture Eats Strategy - leading by example

This is a collaborative workshop tailored for fundraising leaders.  Together you will frame and brainstorm your core challenges, explore root causes and begin to unpick solutions with your peers, with tangible actions to take back to your organisation.

Jane Trenaman

An experienced sector consultant and mentor, Jane has held a number of fundraising leadership roles since 2011 from senior management to board level. These have included roles at Trócaire, Oxfam, ISPCC, Samaritans, Christian Aid, the National Opera House and Common Purpose. She is founder and chair of the UK Fundraising Leadership Assembly and moderates the Irish Fundraising Director’s Network on behalf of Charities Institute Ireland.

Jane is a passionate advocate for income's role in fueling social impact. She is also a huge believer in peer collaboration and is committed to supporting fundraising leaders and their teams. And she continues to be humbled by what can be achieved through open and honest exchange (and a little group therapy).

When she’s not working, she is a mother to two kiddies and a pampered pooch, and enjoys piano, casual choir and karaoke.  Fun fact: Jane is also a qualified Zumba instructor.
